Good morning! My day started early again because of the kittens, and I'm glad I already swatched these polishes, because they made a mess and cleaning them the usual way wasn't enough, some needed to be washed... Let's just say my cuticles were at the wrong place, at the wrong time :D Ouch! But they're doing fantastic, only little Perceval should eat a bit more, I like kittens to have a little extra backup on their tiny bodies (and that just makes their cute kitten bellies even more irresistible as well! ♥). I don't have Perceval-the-polish in this post, but what I do have, is another stunning A England red, that straight away earned a very high spot with my fav reds! And the other 2 that I'll show today are absolute winners too!
My swatches are with 2 coats of polish and without top coat, to make sure the top coat wouldn't dull the holo effect on my photos. I used 2 coats, because I prefer thinner coats and I'd like to make sure I have full coverage on my photos, since they show a lot more. But I think these can handle a single thicker coat as well, especially Sleeping Palace and Fonteyn - and having said that, yes I do think these will work for stamping! And just as I'm used to with A England, the formula and application of these was divine! Please note though, the holo effect is stronger in real life.
A England: A soft silver holographic hue bearing a lavender tint, embodying all the grace and elegance of a Prima Ballerina.
What I love about Fonteyn is that it's not just your average silver holo, that hint of lavender really makes it stand out! And somehow that touch of color also makes it work a lot better with my skintone. I'm so gonna stamp with this! :)
A England: "Asleep in a bed of roses, her beauty still calls true" - a true deep rose hue kissed with subtle holographic overtones, a scarlet riot of blooming life to keep the princess company.
As you can see on the above photo, Rose Bower doesn't need sun to be beautiful. It's the least holo of these 3, but any red polish is already eye-catching, and I think Adina from A England really nailed it here. I already said it at the beginning of this post, this is easily one of my favorite reds!
A England: "An unnatural twilight has fallen upon the land" - a plum/coppery base hue filled with vivid prismatic life, as though mocking the eternal slumber of the entire castle.
Look! Look at it! Oh my, so unique, so gorgeous, and Sleeping Palace is perfect all year round. I don't often wear holos in Fall or Winter, a lot of them just feel to Summery if that makes sense, but this is yet another A England polish that would rock in those seasons as well!
I see these as typical A England polishes, beautiful and sophisticated colors with a fantastic application. But I think it was already quite clear that I'm loving these polishes, haha! Fonteyn is from the Ballerina collection, Rose Bower and Sleeping Palace are from the Burne-Jones Dream collection, and you can find them all on the website.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend, thanks for looking! :)
