 Hello darlings.

I think you know me by know and you also know my thing for crocheting spectacular looking items, you normally find for sale in the big brand stores.

This pullover is extremely famous …might I say viral …since I found it EVERYWHERE from Alien Express where it is sold to and impressive forums and blogs.

So far I did not find any written pattern so here it is my very own interpretation – a.k.a pattern , to help you guys make your own.
This is the kind of pullover you dream of, to lay over a summery dress, a cami dress, a slip dress…to get a romantic…slightly boho look.
The pullover is a combination of regular stitches and simple half hairpin lace.
Yarn suggestions :
1.    acrylic, cotton acrylic mix – medium, 3 - 4 mm hook. ( for chillier fall days)
2.    cotton mercerized, microfiber – 2,5-3 mm hook ( for the beginning of fall and chillier end of august nights)

How to make it:
Start from the middle to make the 3 tier flower motif
Inspirational chart below (just for inspiration)

 Detail

1.    Ch 5 , slst to join
2.    Ch4, 1dc ch 3, …repeat (6dc ch3 in the circle), slst to join.
3.     Ch1, *1sc 1hdc, 3dc, 1hdc, 1sc ( in the same ch space)*- one petal…repeat ** to get 6 petals.
4.    *Ch 6, 1sc (in the back of the exiting row of petals) in the space between the petals*, repeat ** to get 6 chain spaces, sl st to join.
5.    Ch1, *1sc , 1hdc, 5 dc, 1hdc, 1sc ( in the same ch space )* - one petal … repeat ** to get 6 petals.
6.    *Ch 8, 1sc (in the back of the exiting row of petals) in middle of the petals*, repeat ** to get 8 chain spaces, sl st to join.
7.    Ch1, *1sc , 1hdc, 7 dc, 1hdc, 1sc ( in the same ch space )* - one petal … repeat ** to get 8 petals.
8.    *Ch 8, 1sc (in the back of the exiting row of petals) in the space between the petals *, repeat ** to get 8 chain spaces, sl st to join.

This last row of chain spaces will be the linking space between the first section of half hairpin  lace and the 3 tier flower.
Now…
You have two choices :

1.    Use a wide ruler and work ( 8 x 8 = 64 )strips.

2.    Use the coiling method ( wrapping method in knitting) and pull even strips of yarn to create the loose lacy section.-also 64.

The 64 strips will be divided so each group of 8 will be linked using sc to the each 8ch space of the 3 tier flower.

On the other end of the strips you will work 1sc to close the strip and 1ch in between.

As you go on with the front section you will start the increase.
1.    In each stich formed by the loose end of the half hairpin lace section you will work 1dc,sl st to join
2.    Ch 4, 1dc, ch 1, *1is dc ch1* …repeat ** till the end of the row, sl st to join
3.    Ch 3, *2dc (in the ch space), 3dc (in the chain space)*, repeat ** till the end of the row, sl st to join.
4.    Ch 4, 1dc, ch 1, *1dc ch1* …repeat ** till the end of the row, sl st to join
According to the number of stitches resulted in this last row work the second half hairpin section (same number of strips as the stitches).

This time each strip links with each stitch. On the other end of the strip work as before 1sc and 1ch.

From now on the sequence is worked as follows:
You will finish the bottom :
1.    1dc in each stitch
2.    Ch4, 1dc, ch1, *1dc , ch1*..repeat ** till the end of the row, sl st to join.
3.    Ch3, 2dc in the next ch space, *1 dc, 2dc in the next ch space*…repeat ** till the end of the row , sl st to join.
Repeat 2 and 3 and 2 again.

By now you almost have the front piece is wide enough.
On the bottom part work another 2 ( don’t go all around like before but naturally link to the sides). Finish with 3dc in one stitch ,sk 2, 1sc…from on side to the other.

Finishing the top:
The same sequence applies (2, 3,2,3) but use the below chart to inspire you how to decrease for shaping the neck opening and arm holes.

Same stitch combination applies for the sleeves.

The Back:
As you can see the back is rather simple ,
You can go for the original version but for a warmer pullover you can opt for the same sequence as for the sleeves.

The lacy finish back:
1.    Ch 4, *1dc, ch 1*…repeat **

Extra tip:
Regardless the type of back you choose keep in mind to work according to the front side so it will have exactly the same dimensions ( be extra careful at the bottom )

This is about it.

I know it may seem a bit of a handful but trust me when I say it isn’t.

You just have to dare and try it and you will have the kind of pullover that will help add to your bohemian / romantic feel.
