Femme Fatale Cosmetics is launching a new collection, for which the presale will start tomorrow (August 1st) and will run till the 5th. These beauties arrived just in time and I rushed to get the swatches done, so you can see them before the presale starts! As Femme Fatale Cosmetics says:

"The Mad Tea-Party Collection is based upon a chapter from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. The contrast between muted and vibrant colours with variety of finishes reflects the soberness and eccentricity (respectively) found within the characters in this chapter."

To me this looks like a typical FFC collection, lots of finishes and various colors, often combined into a single polish. Intricate and pretty, and with plenty variety to offer something for most people. Here's a quick look, check out the full swatches further down :)

Femme Fatale Cosmetics The Mad Tea-Party

Let me start by saying that my swatches are all with topcoat, I used a thin topcoat for my swatches, yet most only needed a single layer. A few could do with a second layer. Now let's look at the polishes!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Infamous Riddle

Starting with a very unique polish: Infamous Riddle. Of course almost all polish is unique, but FFC is a brand that often really makes you think 'wow, so unique!', haha! Like many in this collection, this polish had that effect on me too, I haven't seen anything like it before! It's an olivegreen polish, with a hint of gold, and a strong, coppery/pink duochrome. Bonuspoints for looking so smooooth ^^ This covered in 2 easy coats.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Up Above The World You Fly

The base of Up Above The World You Fly is a dusty lavender, with a very strong blue duochrome that leans a little green. Those colors always look nice together! The polish is packed with very fine silver glitters, which did make it a little gritty, so this one took 2 coats for full coverage, and 2 layers of topcoat.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Always Tea-Time

My pics of Always Tea-Time aren't showing it as I would've liked, I swatched it really early this morning and the light wasn't optimal yet (unfortunately I didn't have enough time to wait for better light). This was again 2 coats for full coverage, and it's a combo of a taupe base packed with bright magenta pink glitters in various sizes. There's a subtle shimmer in the back as well, as the macroshot shows best. I really like the combo of taupe and bright pink or purple, so it's nice to see them combined into a polish like this!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics March Hare

Let's continue with March Hare, an golden-brown base (which varies a little from a lighter to a deep, darker color, depending on the angle) with green flash, that makes it look a little olive at times as well. It also has lotsa holographic glitters in different sizes! It looks a little like the larger glitters are sitting on top of the polish, but that's mainly the pics. Having said that, I guess it doesn't come as a surprise that I doubled on topcoat here, and the polish itself also needed 2 coats.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Wonderland

Shown here is -you guessed it- 2 coats of Wonderland, which is a blue base (leans a little muted and a little teal) with a strong magenta pink shimmer - which unfortunately doesn't show well here, this is not the first time I struggle with that beautiful pink/purple shimmer in a Femme Fatale polish! It also has little flakies, I'm pretty sure it's the red to green ones, but because of everything that's going on in the polish, it's a bit hard to see.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Two Days Wrong

Time for a thermal! This is Two Days Wrong, and the colorchange on my nails during the application fooled me a little, I went for 3 thicker coats but 3 thin should be fine too. It's a light pink (warm) to bright purple (cold) thermal, filled with flakies that came out easily (FFC sure knows how to pack a lot in a polish while keeping it easy to get it all onto the nail!). On the following photos you can see the transition and the cold look.

Sometimes flakies can be really visible on top of a light polish, like you can see little bits of plastic instead of pretty flakies, if that makes sense? Not with this one! it almost looks like the flakies change color too, and they combine perfect with both the pink and the purple.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Twinkle, Twinkle

This is 3 coats of Twinkle, Twinkle, and it sure does match the name, it's very sparkly! This is a blue base with a strong purple shimmer, and packed with the same size and shape glitters, but then in various colors. I think it's purple, light purple and turquoise. It shows a little blue on my pics, the blue base made it harder to pick up the rich purple at the same time :)

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Mad As A Hatter

Last, but -oh wow!- certainly not least, Mad As A Hatter. It took 3 coats to give this result, and I can't get over how pretty this is! I'd say this is a dark teal jelly base, with lots of red to green flakies and a red shimmer. Because of the base I used 3 coats, to cover the tips a bit more, but I bet this would work wonders when layered as well.

There they are, all 8 polishes of the The Mad Tea-Party collection. The last polish is clearly the winner for me, but I can appreciate all of these creations, because they're done so well! They have a nice application & coverage, and FFC can really make me forget that I'm maybe not always loving some colors on my nails, because their polishes are just so beautiful and unique! They are often a challenge for me and my camera, and having said that: yes, a lot of these are even better in real life :)

If you want to get your hands on any (or all) of these beauties, make sure to order them in time! The presale runs from August 1-5 and they're likely to be available from webshops like Shiro Cosmetics, Color4Nails, Beautometry, Rainbow Connection, Beauty So Fly and Dope Nails. Or just look on the Femme Fatale Cosmetics website! What's your favorite of this collection? Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend ♥

Bundle Monster kindly send me some items for review, and I already showed you the dual sided tools and their latest plate collection, Shangri-La. I really liked those items, and the items that I'll show today also get my stamp of approval!

A England Camelot with Essence A Piece of Forever and Bundle Monster plates BM-221 and BM-424, Dance Legend Top Satin and China Glaze Bump In The Night with a Bundle Monster 3D charm

Bundle Monster scrapers

I'm starting with these scrapers: they are business card sized, plastic and colorful scrapers, that won't damage your plates. To make sure you won't damage the scraper either, you should clean them with acetone-free remover. The scrapers come in a set of 6 scrapers (yes, you won't run out of scrapers anytime soon with these sets!), and you can choose between 0.5mm and 1mm scrapers. There's 2 colorful sets for each width, so you can choose the designs that you like best! You can find all scraper sets here.
I received 1 scraper of each width, and I'm still not too fond of the thin scrapers, I prefer the more sturdy, thicker scrapers. So I straight away went for that one, and this thicker one works perfect for me :)

Bundle Monster Happy Hydro Hippies 3D nail charms

The 3D charms are something new for me, I've seen plenty manis that use them, but I just hadn't tried any myself. You can glue them on your nails with a bit of nail glue, or use acrylic or gel to stick them on your nails. The set I received is called 'Happy Hydro Hippies', but Bundle Monster has loads more sets! What I noticed straight away is that the bigger charms aren't fully flat, even the lips fit nicely on my nails because it's curved! I'm sorry for the pink glow on the right photo, I wore a pink shirt and well, these little charms are shiny, haha! You can find all the 3D nail charms here.
It was an easy choice for my mani, of course I couldn't resist that little catface! I started with a black base on 3 nails, and a textured black on the 2 other. I used the thick scraper that I showed above, and 2 Bundle Monster plates with a golden polish, to stamp the leopard print and little paws. Top coat on the print, matte top coat on the paws, glue on the charm and done!

Yesterday I showed you UberChic Beauty's The Wild West plate, today it's The Far East's turn! I'm sure you straight away get some images in mind with a theme like that, let's see below if the plate has those as well...

OPI My Vampire Is Buff with A England Dorian Gray and Virgin Queen and UberChic Beauty plate UC The Far East -01

clickable for an enlargement

From bamboo to a koi, from a little panda to watery images, this plate offers plenty. And with that theme, it won't come as a surprise that there's dragons and symbols and writing as well! The plate combines traditional images with images that feel more modern to me, and it combines intricate designs with designs that'll work just as well as little details or for doublestamping. I think it's a perfect mix of Asian themed designs :)

The plate looks a little smudgy on a few spots, and in case you're wondering: the protective blue foil got a bit stuck on this one (not sure why, the warmth?), it came off easily but left some sticky residue, which I noticed later on the photo. Nothing a little remover won't fix though! And the quality of the plate is just as great as every other UberChic Beauty plate. In fact, I stamped 5 nails at once with the lettering design, without cleaning the plate in between ♥ I started with stamping the text in Dorian Gray, then stamped over that with the image that's on the top row, 2nd from the left, with Virgin Queen. And here's how that turned out:

Howdy! Here are 2 polishes of Dance Legend Firefly, which is a collection with 9 glow in the dark polishes. And they sure do glow!

Dance Legend Firefly

Dance Legend #9 Never Enough

Dance Legend #9 Never Enough.

Dance Legend #9 Never Enough

Never Enough is a lilac/pink color, with strong golden shimmer. It leans more lilac or pink, depending on the angle (as you can see on my indexfinger on the above photo). I used 3 coats with top coat for my swatches, the first coat was really sheer but it gives full coverage on 3 coats. However, that first coat applied really even, so you could use this as a topper as well! Or maybe for some subtle sparkly accents?

Dance Legend #9 Never Enough

The glow in the dark effect is really strong with these, the first 2 pictures on the left show how it looked when I didn't even charge it yet, but just went from daylight to a bit darker. I'm afraid my pics ain't as sharp here, I took the auto setting on my camera, because fixing it manually took some time and I did this on a pretty warm day. I had to hide under 2 duvets to get it pitchblack... phew, warm! Needless to say, I was happy with the auto result, haha!

Dance Legend #9 Never Enough

Dance Legend #8 Price Of Beauty

Dance Legend #8 Price Of Beauty.

Dance Legend #8 Price Of Beauty

Well I can repeat myself here, 3 coats with top coat, that looked very sheer yet even on the first coat. Another polish that I think will be lovely for layerings too! This muted blue base is packed with various colors microglitter.

Dance Legend #8 Price Of Beauty

The glow in the dark effect on this one was just as strong, with a slight variation in color. Some of the colors in the collection have a different glow color though! What I noticed as well with both of them, is that the glow effect lasted pretty long. You can charge glow in the dark polish by holding it near a lightsource (I used the help light on my phone), and it'll diminish fairly quickly. But these didn't need as much light to start glowing ánd didn't diminish as fast as I've seen before, so yay for that!

Dance Legend #8 Price Of Beauty

What do you think of glow in the dark polish? Do you have any? Thanks for stopping by :)

You can buy the Firefly collection in various webshops and of course on the Dance Legend website itself. And you can follow Dance Legend on Facebook and Instagram for more pretty polish!
