Good morning :) I blogged about the Accessories Kit 2.0 the other day, and here's a mani I did with it. I started with a simple design: I used the triangular shape of the template, picked up the image and lined up one of the sides of the triangle to the side of my nail. Easypeasy diagonal stamping! ^^ The image that I used is a big one from UberChic Beauty, so I could stamp a different, yet matching design on each nail. You can see the plate in this post. You can win that entire plateset in my UCB giveaway, but don't wait too long with entering, because it'll end later tonight!

Hey guys! It's not just 3 great plates that I'm blogging about today, but also an accessories kit that's simply perfect for all the stamping lovers out there! But first, here's a mani I did with one of the plates, you can see them all and the kit further down :)

A England Camelot with Mundo de Uñas Lime and Messy Mansion MM51

The plates come with protective blue foil on the front, and no protective backing, but the plates aren't sharp either. Just like the other Messy Mansion plates that I have, these plates are larger than the average plate, they're 7cm in diameter to be precise! The average round plate is 5.6cm, so they're clearly quite a bit bigger. And as you can see, so are the images!

Messy Mansion MM51

This is the plate I used for the mani in this post, I took a piece of the fence on the right. That middle image is HUGE, haha! And considering how long some of these images are, they're perfect for really long nails too. I just took a small part of that image, about 1/4 even. I haven't seen a plate with fences before, so unique! I bet it could look lovely if you split a fence in 2 and stamp 'em on 2 nails.

Messy Mansion MM53

The images on this plate are long and narrow, they'll fit on all my nails except my thumb, there I lack a tiny bit on the sides then. But you can always stamp them horizontally as well of course. Another plate with pretty fences & swirly designs :)

Messy Mansion MM56

And here's my favorite, a plate that satisfies any need for lace designs, and again suitable for those with really long nails as well. These designs are packed with fine details, but the Messy Mansion plates are of such high quality that you'll get it all on the nail!

And here's something I'm very excited about, the Accessories Kit 2.0! This cute little tin contains 3 plastic scrapers in 3 different thicknesses, and 2 metal templates. This kit is fantastic, especially for all those fully covered plates, and for all those crazy stamping ideas that you might have but weren't sure how to get onto your nails without a truckload of tape :D I think they might also be handy for other things, like cutting a shape out of dry watermarbles or (homemade) decals. I haven't tried that yet though!

And as you might know, I struggle a bit with plastic scrapers, the sharp metal ones just give the best result for me. But I'm loving the thickest scraper of this set, it works great for me so far! So if you have a hard time getting clean images, trying a different scraper can help, and this kit offers variation in those as well.

Messy Mansion Accessories Kit 2.0

Here's a quick test on paper (I haven't even tried them on my nails yet, but I was too excited to share this kit!), I used the largest lace image from plate MM56, and this also shows again how well the Messy Mansion plates work by the way. I cleaned the plate just once in between all these little tests! ♥ The metal templates are thin enough to give no problems whatsoever with picking up the designs, and you use them by scraping the excess polish of your design and placing the template on top of it, then picking up the design with your stamper. I did notice that a soft, squishy stamper works best.

To give you an idea of the size of the templates, the nail shapes vary between 1.3x2.2cm (largest) and 0.65x1.0cm (smallest). In my case, the 2nd most large image is big enough for my thumb already ^^

The Accessories Kit 2.0 is currently sold out (no wonder, it's awesome!!), but you can always fill in your email at the productpage so you get a notification mail when the product is back in stock. Messy Mansion sells all kinds of stamping tools, plates and other products, which you can all find on their website.

What do you think of my black&lime combo? And how about the plates and accessories kit, anything you'd like of that? :) Thanks for looking!

Morning! Here's a mani from the vault, with an image that stamped crisp but went a bit runny from the top coat. The result is almost like it's handpainted with a wider brush or something, don't you agree? That wasn't my intention, but I don't mind it here either :)

Purple and taupe combine very well if you ask me, I've done such combos before but then usually with darker polishes. But it works in this lighter & brighter mix too :) You can see the plate that I used for this mani in this post. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend! ♥

Oh wow, it's been a week since my last post? It feels like just a few days! I got sucked into a new game (LOVE The Witcher 3!), I guess that might just have something to do with it, hehe. Ah well, luckily there's some pics left in my vault of unposted stuff =)

Perfect Touch #13 stamped with Perfect Touch #04 and Messy Mansion MM46

I already shared some about this cheap brand called Perfect Touch in a previous post, and from the polishes that I have, a few are hits, and one's a big miss: this pink base. It was everything you don't want a polish to be, eek! It needed 3 coats but applied horribly, and it was very easy to drag streaks into it and very messy to get an even result. And then it didn't want to dry. And it felt like plastic instead of polish. And it stinks. It doesn't get more 'miss' than this! On the opposite side, the coppery-golden polish that I stamped with is from this brand as well and worked great :)

As I said in my Rossetti's Goddess post, the whole collection works for stamping! But Incense Burner was the polish that I had most doubts about, since it was a bit sheer on the first coat and really needed that 2nd coat for full coverage. And yes, it's a little sheer for stamping, but with the right undies and image, it's no problem!

Dance Legend #1035 with A England Incense Burner and Messy Mansion MM46

This was a nice test for the Messy Mansion plate as well (this one's included in my full review of 4 MM plates), such fine lines can be a bit problematic and often involve a lot of platecleaning in between. But not with these MM plates, I started with my pinky and worked towards my indexfinger, and as the latter shows, that's when I should've cleaned the plate. But still, that's 3 perfect transfers including all those little lines, without cleaning the plate in between! I'm impressed :)

If you look at the color difference between my middlefinger and ringfinger, you can probably tell that Incense Burner is a bit sheer for stamping. But my nails are tiny compared to these photos, so none would notice that irl! And yes, once again I used this Dance Legend as base, I simply love that polish :D In short, happy with the plate, happy with these polishes!

Just a short post today, with the result of stamping on my nails with a Dance Legend Hammering polish! I did use more polish than usual on the plate (filled the plate in a bit, instead of my usual stripe of polish near the top of the image), to make sure the image would be covered and wouldn't get tiny holes from the hammered effect of the polish. As you can see, that worked perfect!

Dance Legend #1035 with Dance Legend #4 As You Wish and Messy Manion plate MM50

I've shown the plate with this adorable design in this post, this plate offers a lot of feline designs and I can totally see a nice kittycat themed skittlette mani. But I'm not feeling so great atm, so I went for a less inspired, simple tone-on-tone design. Doesn't make these cats any less cute though! :)

I showed some awesome Messy Mansion plates in my previous post, and here's another mani done with them. This time I went for the dino plate, and instead of going for the usual, using a full nail image, I randomly stamped some of the smaller images. Or well, smaller... as you can see, they're still pretty big! :)

I've reviewed the stamping polish in this post, but I wanted to show a bit more of it. What better way to test it than on a darker base and with an image with larger areas to cover! And it's clear that it has no problems with that, I couldn't have asked for anything more from it ♥
I'm not fully sure what dinosaurs are on my nails here, I think one's a triceratops, but the other 2... ? Check out the full plate here! Have a great weekend and thanks for looking :)

Hi all :) Messy Mansion recently added some new plates to their collection, and I received 4 of them to show you, so here we go! I'm showing all the plates in this post, and only 1 mani, but you'll be seeing more nails done with the other plates soon too. I just couldn't resist sharing them all straight away!

Essence Absolutely Blue with Essence Hard To Resist and Messy Mansion MM48

The plates arrived with blue protective foil on the front, which easily came off. They don't have a protective cover on the back, but they're not sharp at all, so I'm not missing that either. The plates are $7 each and can be found on the Messy Mansion website. Let's take a look:

Messy Mansion MM46

MM46 is a floral plate, and it's prrrretty! I think the bottom left image with the thicker lines will be great in a bolder colorcombo, and they'll all be great in tone-on-tone. And the middle right one might work great for a messy base with various colors, stamped in black or white!

Messy Mansion MM47

MM47, what a unique plate! This will be perfect for the dino lovers, but don't forget those fossil images either! In this setting they're clearly fossils, but I bet they'll look quite different with some bright colors. I've already done some with the dinos, and will show that in my next post. This plate made me think of Ross from Friends, haha. Oh, and I think there's a new Jurassic movie coming out, if you're going there and want a matching mani, look no further!

Messy Mansion MM48

MM48 is the plate I used for today's mani, if you love paisley prints, you neeeed this plate! Aren't these designs beautiful?

Messy Mansion MM50

MM50, meow! Yeah, what can I say really... I'm glad it's a part of my stash now, it's SO cute! ^^

I'll of course update my stamping plate comparison, but I'll tell you straight away, the full nail designs on these plates are BIG. How big? This pic will give you an idea I think! I stamped that image sideways, the width of these designs is big enough to fit on the length of my nails! The full nail images on these plates measure 2.3 x 1.75 cm.

Essence Absolutely Blue with Essence Hard To Resist and Messy Mansion MM48

And I think it's clear, they work fantastic! I stamped the 4 nails you see on this photo in 1 go, without cleaning the plate in between. It had no problem transferring all those tiny details and I could just keep going, love it! ♥ These plates will definitely make a great addition to any stash :)

Morning! Messy Mansion recently released 5 new plates and Lily Anna also added a new one to the collection. I hadn't tried these brands before (I only drooled over their images), so I felt very lucky when a package from Messy Mansion landed on my doormat, allll the way from the other side of the world! :D I already showed you an image from one of them in my previous post, and here's a mani with a softer result:

W.I.C. By Herôme Örebro with Catrice Be Pool and Lily Anna 09.

Let's look at the plates! I received 3 of the new MM plates and the LA plate, they all come in a plastic cover and the front has a protective blue cover as well. There's nothing on the back of the plates, but they weren't sharp either.

Lily Anna 09 (you can click the image for an enlargement).
You can find the Lily Anna plates here, they're $10 each. I'm sure it doesn't come as a surprise that this is totally my kind of plate, loving such images! :)

Lily Anna 09

Messy Mansion plates MM33, MM37 & MM38.
Check out the whole MM series here! They're $7 each. Aren't these totally unique? Not only the plates are bigger than your average plates (please note, I don't have a real platefolder but these did not fit in my cardfolder!), look at the size of some of these images, they're huge as well! A perfect brand for girls with longer nails :)

Messy Mansion MM33

This was the plate I used for my previous mani, aren't those rockets cute? I think it's great how the MM plates that I received all have a specific subject, if you're into something, you won't end up with images of something else that you might never use!

Messy Mansion MM37

Arrr! They be some great pirate-y images for yer stash, aye! ... Yeah... I'm sorry, I couldn't resist! :D If you're into pirates, this plate is so perfect for you, it has it all!

Messy Mansion MM38

Owlllllll! (Thanks to zefrank I can't say owl anymore) Look at the size of that bottom image, woah! I like how this plate offers adorable owls in various styles, from cute to more realistic :)

The quality of these plates is great, I got nice, clean transfers on the images that I tried so far, and I don't expect anything else from the other images :) And here are these plates added to my comparison, but as you could see above, the full nail images vary a lot in size! So it's really the average of them, not all images on the plates are as big as shown here.

Thanks for looking and take care! :)

Howdy all! Lets see how this blogging thing worked again =) I'll post a little update on the bottom, but this is a nail blog of course, so let's start with that! I recently received some great plates from Messy Mansion, and I'll post more about those soon, but here's a mani done with one of them already :)

Essence Black Is Back sponged with Catrice Times Square At Midnight, Catrice En Vogue, Essence glitter top coat, Smitten Polish Radiantly Royal, 2True no.2 and a nameless 2B polish, then stamped with Konad White and Messy Mansion plate MM33.

It doesn't show as well on my pics, but it looked so sparkly irl, couldn't stop looking at different angles! ♥ I started with a black base and I wanted the image to be the main thing here, so I sponged some spots with a dark blue and a dark purple shimmer, then sponged more spots with a subtle silver glitter, a blue glitter, a silver glitter with purple shimmer, and a blue/green/yellow fine glitter.
I've never done galaxy nails before, but for the real galaxy nails I'd use brighter polishes and sponge a little less subtle, this mani got me eager to try that sometime :)

These are the sponges I used to create little spots, they're from BornPrettyStore and work great for any kind of sponged mani! I used the pointy side of a sponge for the spots, for gradient nails I'd use the bottom part. And I'd just cut off the used part, so these sponges will last for a while :)

They cost $0,99 for 3 of them, and you can find them here! Don't forget to use coupon code ABJ61 for 10% off!

Thanks for looking! :)

Personal update below:

Right, so here's a little update as to why I haven't been as active lately (and have less active periods here and there). The last 6 months or so have been pretty weird, and even though I find it scary to share a bit, my blog is almost 4 years now (next month! :)) and I'd like to open up a bit here.

When I was 18 I had some quick tests and within a day I got a diagnose, but because of who ordered those tests, we never really doubted the diagnose or questionned how the tests were done. But throughout the years I started questioning things more and more, I kept encountering issues that weren't part of what I was supposed to have, and things from that diagnose didn't match with me anymore, but getting tested again scared me big time. Last year I read a bit about a form of autism, and I found myself crying because it was all so very familiar. So I finally took the step, and got tested again. This time they were much more intense, my family got involved in the tests as well, and it took a lot more testing, questions, forms to answer, etc.
The result was that my old diagnose wasn't correct and instead I have PDD-NOS, which is one of the Autism Spectrum Disorders. A lot of things fell into place, and are still falling into place, not just for me but also for my family, all the way back to when I was very young. At the same time, I had to get used to the new diagnose, and learn what's a part of that, and what's a part of me. I also felt that that old diagnose, which I had for 13 years, was kind of hopeless, and now all of a sudden I have possibilities, things that can be improved, worked on, ... My future has brightened up a lot, which is awesome but well weird at the same time! :)
So I'm very happy with the new (and how I feel it, finally correct) diagnose -as far as you can be happy about a diagnose of course :P- but it also took me a lot of "what if I got the right one from the start, what would my life look like now"-thinking. That's going better now, but still a thought that pops up at times.

Besides that, I also had to say goodbye to my dear Bindi not long after the diagnose, you guys have been such a great support back then which I'm still very thankful for! I still miss Bindi so much, and saying goodbye to her had a big impact on my life. Add some trips to Sweden, having to do some big things in the house, and that I wanted to wear polish that I felt like (instead of thinking, I already posted this, lets not wear it) and maybe you can understand a bit why blogging was at a low spot in my life for a while! I think it will be more often, it's one of the first things that I'm less active with when it's not going as well with me or when I have other things on my mind, which has happened in the past as well. Ah well, now you know :)
