Heya! Lately I've been spoiled badly with all the plates that I received, but doing those reviews also ment that I didn't get to play as much with each plate as I'd like (not complaining here, don't get me wrong, it's awesome and I feel SO honored that I got those opportunities! :)). Having foster kittens doesn't help either, but my current sweeties are doing great, and stamping decals combine nicely with kittens: I can make them in between and won't have to walk around with wet nails as much! So that's exactly what I did here, I took a plate from a set that I wanted to play more with, Bundle Monster's Shangri-La set, and made decals on my Uber Mat last night while they were sleeping. And today, during another nap, I finished the mani :)

I made decals with a white stamped design and colored them in with a bunch of colors and the dual sides tools I showed recently, but the downside of so much colors is that you can end up with thicker, uneven decals. Then I thought of ridge filler, and that worked great! So instead of using a lot of top coat to even it all out, I glued the decals onto my nails with basecoat, then used just a thin layer of top coat (since I wasn't sure how ridge filler would work directly on the decals, I'll try that out some other time), then ridgefiller, then another thin layer of top coat. Because the decals were already dry, and I used a fast drying top coat, it didn't take much time at all, and the result was a lot smoother and thinner than with a couple coats of top coat!

Good morning lovelies, I received 2 platesets from UberChic Beauty the other day, and oh my, I'm excited about these!! Simply put, the plates have great quality, great size (these are perfect for thumbs and longer nails as well!) ánd great images! I'll show the plates further down :)

Dance Legend #1035 with HEMA #825, A England Camelot and UberChic Beauty plate UC2-03

The plates have the usual protective foil on the front, and a PVC sticker on the back, so these plates ain't sharp. I know the majority of plates have this nowadays, but every time I use a plate that doesn't have that, I'm happy with the plates that do!
There are 2 sets of 3 plates, each plate is 9.5x14.5cm and the images themselves are a whopping 1.7x2.1cm! Or as UberChic Beauty says: "The designs are built to cover large nails but are specifically crafted to not be so overwhelming or large that you can't see what is on your nail - even if it's tiny!". I think they managed to make the designs exactly how they ment it. I've of course added them to my stamping size comparison, but the image below should give a good idea of the size as well.
Nice extra touch: the business card that came with them works as a scraper too, so you won't damage your new plates!

Time to look at the first plateset, and this is Collection 2 - I'll show Collection 1 in a later post :) The 3 images below are clickable for an enlargement.

I've already used the bottom right image in my last mani, which I showed here, but there's a lot more images that I can't wait to see on the nail! Like the image with all the little blocks on the right side, but I can totally see a coffee mani as well, with various creames and browns, and various images of course. And maybe a sprinkle of glitter...

I'm especially loving the leaves and flowery thingies next to it, the feathers, and those big circly things in the middle. But look at that image at the bottom as well, it should be so easy to stamp a city with stars like that; black on the bottom, yellow/white/gold at the top, scrape and stamp, city at night perfectly done! And if you have smaller nails or just want a stripe of stars, stamp half of the image at a time.

The last plate from this collection has a bit of a travel theme going on, and if you want to be creative with it, stamp that worldmap, add some of the little images on top, that could be cute! But you know I'm a full-nail-fan, and I simply adore the image that I used for today's mani ♥ The top left images, at first they look like a random design and can be used like that, but look closer and you'll see ankers and ship steering wheels, matching the 2 small images in the middle.
All of the plates have a lot of designs that I can see myself using, and I'm happy these plates are now part of my collection too :)

For those of you who follow me on Facebook and saw my question for a black stamping polish the other day, yes, I did end up buying Camelot, haha! It seems to be the perfect black on the nail, however, it didn't stamp as pitch-black as I'd like on this first try. I'll give it another go of course, but just in case, I now have a whole bunch of black stamping options, thanks all! ♥

You can buy the UberChic Beauty plates at their website, but you can find UCB on social media like Facebook and Instagram as well. What do you think of this plate collection? I hope you'll have a wonderful weekend, take care :)

Good evening :) I recently shopped for polish in the HEMA (a Dutch warehouse) and spotted an absolutely gorgeous teal polish which I just had to take home. I couldn't capture the true color, but really, if you have a HEMA nearby, have a look at this one sometime! Yes, it stains, it doesn't dry as fast as I'd like, and it needed 3 coats... but oh my, that color! ♥
I decided to try some doublestamping on it, with another HEMA polish, the purple holographic. I haven't seen it in sunlight yet, but it seems the least holo of them all. In fact, there was another polish which wasn't a part of the holo collection, that seemed more holo than this purple one (#826, and yes, I'll be showing them sometime too!). So from their holographic line, both the bordeaux and the purple holo work for stamping. I haven't tried the other 4 but they don't cover nearly as good and I don't think they'll work well.

This mani didn't fully turn out as I had in mind, it became a bit too messy for my liking, probably because of the holo polishes I used for stamping. The colors aren't really similar on swatches but turned out way too close when I stamped them as well! I think I'd prefer to keep the stamping polishes quite basic (like cremes) and with more different colors for double stamping. But now I know at least, and I still liked the result enough to post it :) Hope you do too, thanks for visiting and have a nice evening!

Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful NYE and a good start of the new year so far :) I recently bought the Bordeaux color of the HEMA Holographic collection, and it surprised me; it covered very well and was a lot more holo than I expected. I already showed a simple stamped mani with it, and after using that polish I couldn't resist the rest of the collection either! Unfortunately the others that I tried so far don't cover as well, but they're nice holos nevertheless. I swatched them in a bit of wintersun and had to hold my hand in unusual angles in that sun to show the holo, so please don't mind the rubbery fingers here and there =)

HEMA Holographic Copper

Starting with HEMA Holographic Copper, 3 coats, no base/top. The polish itself applied nicely, I like the smaller brush, but it's one of those holos where you have to be a bit careful to not drag the previous coat along. So it applied slightly patchy when I rushed a little, and I'd definitely use it with a holo basecoat next time.

HEMA Holographic Copper

If you ask me, this looks a lot more golden-with-a-hint-of-copper than actual copper! And I think I would've loved it a lot more if it was actually a copper holo, but I do like it like this as well. The basecolor itself didn't look bad on me, and it sure has a nice holo effect :)

HEMA Holographic Pink

Next we have HEMA Holographic Pink, again 3 coats without base/top, same application as described above. The sunlight was a bit warm here as you can see on my skintone as well, further below I added a photo made with flash, to show the sweet color a bit better.

HEMA Holographic Pink

Not a very unique color, but it's a cute one, ánd holo, so I'm sure I'll wear this more often! And €3,75 for 11ml holographic polish (that's the size of an A England bottle) makes it even more lovable :)

HEMA Holographic Bordeaux

And last, my favorite of them all so far, HEMA Holographic Bordeaux. 2 coats, no base, with top coat. As you can probably tell by the length of my nails, I've swatched this before some time, so I don't have any sunlight photos of it now. This one applied the best, 2 easy coats, no issues with pulling patches. But it did dry up less shiny than the others, so I did use top coat when I swatched this one.

HEMA Holographic Bordeaux

It's a red based purple with pretty strong holographic effect, but the effect seems a little more scattered than the other polishes that I tried so far. Considering the size/price of these bottles and the effect of them, I hope HEMA will add more holos in the future!

I'll be showing the green, blue and purple some other time, but what do you think of this collection so far? Thanks for looking :)

Morning all :) This mani was quick & easy, and the polishes that I used impressed me! The base was a matt look polish, but I found it more of a rubbery finish, not really matte. It also showed ridges on my nails very well, so I wasn't loving that as much. But I think it's a lovely color, and it covered in 2 coats, which applied very nice ánd dried fast! The holographic that I used for stamping was way more holo than I expected and when I applied it on a swatchstick, I knew it would do the trick for stamping, so yay for that! I'll show swatches of it sometime soon as well, and I might have to pick up more of these ^^
