Essence I ♥ Trends combo

Hi all! I bought a couple of Essence polishes a few months ago, did a mani with them, and still didn't show that here. Time to fix that!

These polishes are from the 'I ♥ Trends - The Nudes' collection that's currently in stores and is a part of the first display. The cremes covered well for me, in 2 coats, but on Instagram it became clear that that's not the case for everyone unfortunately. The lightest color did apply a bit streaky and uneven for me as well. But I do like the color, and considering the price, especially during a 2=1 sale, I'm glad I took it home anyway! The glitter topper has small rosecolored glitters and silver and yellow barglitter. I didn't really notice they were yellow until I saw it on the nail, not loving that as much! But matte top coat pulled it all together a bit more I think :)

Dance Legend Excalibur & Sword Of Mercy

Hey hey :) Here's 2 polishes of the Dance Legend Steel collection, a collection with 12 metallic polishes. When I think of metallics, I think of stamping, so of course I had to test stamping with these! They do work, however, these 2 aren't 1-coaters and are slightly thin, so I'll list them as somewhat sheer on my stamping polish page. I think they might be less suited for images with large areas, on such images it shows better when a polish isn't covering as well, and on darker basecolors, where you'd want perfect coverage. You'll find swatches and more about these 2 stamped manis further down!

Dance Legend Excalibur.

Excalibur covered in 2 thicker coats, and is shown here without base/top coat. As always with metallics, little bumps and ridges on the nail show well, and a ridgefilling basecoat would help to make the result as smooth as possible.

Dance Legend Sword Of Mercy.

Again 2 thicker coats, no base/top coat. In case you're wondering, the less good transfers (like the little holes in the dots here and there) aren't caused by these polishes or the plate, but by me trying to work with plastic scrapers! I've always used metal scrapers, and no matter what kind of plastic a scraper is made of, I tend to scrape worse with it, getting small gaps in the design. But I'd rather not damage my plates anymore, so I figured to keep practicing :) The dotted image below is one that I didn't really notice before, it didn't stand out between the other designs on the plate, yet when I noticed it I wondered why. It's such a cute and easy dotted image! I think I'll be using it again soon, don't you think it'll be perfect for a pastel Spring mani?

If you love metallics, this collection offers you various colors, and even though they're a bit thin, they aren't runny and apply easily. They dry fast as well, so that's all fine! But if you use metallics just for stamping, I'd choose other ones, simply because I don't think these'll work as well on all colors and with all images. Thanks for looking!

Enamel Gel Effect 2 #1035: swatched & stamped!

Hi guys! The polish that I'm showing today looks great on itself, but you know I love stamping on cremes, so that's exactly what I did! I went with some double stamping, and I'm very happy with how this one turned out :)

The basecolor is another Dance Legend polish, this time it's one from the Enamel Gel Effect 2 collection, and it's color #1035. I used 3 thin coats for my swatches, but if you apply a bit thicker coats, it'll cover in 2. Smooth application, no streaks or anything like that, and it dries oh so glossy! My swatches are without top coat even... it's a perfect, old rose color ♥

I decided to test the DL Binary top coat a bit more, I know it works well on glitters and textures, but how does it deal with nail art? The answer is, it has no problem with that either! See my indexfinger, those barely visible little streaks in the stamping? That's the result of not letting the brush float enough. But I think that's normal, this would've happened with other top coats as well, and can be prevented by using enough top coat and floating the brush. Besides, I can be really picky, but I didn't notice it until I saw this picture, haha! Add the glossy finish and quick drying time, and yes, that leaves me quite impressed! But I'll show the actual top coat in a post soon :)

Dance Legend #1035 with China Glaze 2030 and MASH plate 43, China Glaze Joy and DRK XL Designer plate 1.

The MASH image worked great as base stamping I think! It's not so visible here, but it's a circle pattern, you can see the plate here as well. And you can buy the Dance Legend polish on their website, and in various webshops.

Wing & roses with oNecklace

Dance Legend Smoky collection - my 3 picks

Good morning :) After all the bright, colorful Dance Legend craziness that I showed you last month, I'm gonna end my DL swatches with something more calm & subtle: the Smoky collection. Or well, half of it at least =) I used 3 coats of each polish, no top coat, they simply dry up this glossy!

I'm not fully sure yet how to capture these muted colors well, they all look a bit darker and more grey (more like in the bottle), but I sure do love them! I think they look classy :) But Cozy Sweater was -as I feared a little- not really complementing my skintone. I think some stamping could help with how it looks on me. I'm sure all 3 will make great nailart basecolors, but they look lovely on their own as well!
I didn't have much experience with DL at all until recently, but what can I say, I'm a huge fan! Lalaloving the colors, the application, drying time, the amount of awesomeness they manage to put in a bottle ♥

Morning lovelies! Almost done with the multichromes now, just 1 more to go! But first things first, yesterday's multichrome with a little something extra :)

Dance Legend #10 Кощей Бессмертный with Konad White and Bundle Monster plate bm-301.

I haven't used this image before, but I love it! So I'll definitely use it again :) I think these kinda images compliment such polish, finer lined images or images with a lot going on might be too much, or simply won't stand out. But maybe I should try it sometime!

On a sidenote, fosterkitten Mobi is now online, ready to be adopted! I've already shared him on my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, but since he's such a special kitten, I'd like to share him here too. Please keep him in mind if you know someone looking for a jumpy bundle of joy! :)

Let the multichrome spam continue!

This time with a polish from the Anna Gorelova collection by Dance Legend: #10 Кощей Бессмертный. I'll just refer to it as #10 =) This polish again applied nice and easy, I'm wearing 3 coats with top coat here.

Where to start describing this polish! Green, purple, blue, spotting some subtle brown/rose color too, scattered holo particles... Yep, another polish where they just kept adding colors it seems!

Does it come as a surprise that I stamped on this one too? No right? :D I'll be posting that result tomorrow!

This is my least favorite of the ones that I've tried so far, but I'm loving the green to purple effect that shows best on my indexfinger here. I get the impression that DL really has a multichrome for everyone, no matter what your preferred colors are :)

Do you often wear multichromes? I didn't, but I can totally see myself wearing the ones that I tried now, again and again! Wondering how it would look if you'd sponge a few together... The chance of that being way too much is fairly high I'd say, but hmm, I might have to give that a go sometime anyway!

Comet Tail with a little stamping

Oh yes, another multichrome post! =) Here's the result of some black stamping on the polish that I posted yesterday:

Comet Tail

Continuing the multichrome madness with Comet Tail, yet another Dance Legend beauty (I'm sure that didn't come as a surprise though! :)). I feel like I'm on repeat, but yes, this one applied easy and dried fast too, I'm showing 3 thin coats with top coat. The multichrome effect in these Galaxy polishes is just crazy, so strong! ♥

Dance Legend 844 Comet Tail.

And here it is in sunlight :) Yes, this one has the scattered holographic particles too!

The purple showed up most for me in sunlight, as the above pic shows, but here's how it looks at a different angle. Look at those bright green flashes on the sides of my nails, even in bright light it's still such a strong multichrome!

Today I'll swatch some more, and practice really close macro shots, because I think I'd like to add such images to my swatch posts as well :) But I'll be showing the results of that some other time, I already have photos for a few posts ready, including a little stamping on this one.
