Ahh, this polish, it was doing my head in, so pretty yet so hard to capture... I tried several cameras (thanks to my awesome family!), but either they couldn't handle the bright colors, or I lacked the knowledge to control the camera properly. The result stayed the same, muted colors and just a blahhh result, which made me quite sad tbh. If you have something stunningly beautiful on your nails that you'd LOVE to share but proves to be near impossible to capture, it can get frustrating and meh! For the past 4 years I've been using a simple camera, and usually I was okay to very happy with my pics. But what you probably didn't know, it that it often took a LOT of pictures to find just a few that I felt good about. We're talking hundreds of pictures here at times! As soon as there's sunshine, my baby camera could handle things pretty well, and often I was quickly very happy with the result, but with daylight, not to mention grey weather... ugh. And sorting through a truckload of pics became more and more of an issue for me, especially if all turned out less than I'd like and I could start over (yes, I can be that picky >.<).

Soooo I bought a new camera! :D ... And honestly, it scares me BIG time, lol! I wanted to write something else here, but I don't curse on my blog, so you can fill that in for yourself I'm sure, haha! It's also a compact camera, but this camera is a lot more pro and it's uncomparable to my baby cam, it has so much options that it completely dazzles me and makes me a little bit nervous *takes a deep breath*. What I've found out so far, while testing it on this DL polish, is that it can handle purple without any problems (so yay for that, the pics below show it well I think!), can still make decent pics with very little light (a big yay, because that was a huge issue!), but also blurs stuff a lot more. I know a little bit why, but there's so much to explore now, and it's quite overwhelming, so I'm taking babysteps with it :) So if things look a bit different, you know why... please bear with me while I'm learning this camera! :)

Right, now enough camera talk, let's have a look at my first swatches with it! May I present to you, the amazing multichrome with scattered holographic particles: Milky Way!

Dance Legend Milky Way

Milky Way is #843 from the Galaxy collection, which is an entire collection made of pure win! This was 3 thin and easy applied coats with top coat. The top coat didn't dull the holo effect :)

It goes from slightly muted to very bright, and what I didn't fully manage to capture yet, is the bright green/teal kinda color. It shows a little bit below though :)
